Good to know before you haul in Sparks
Four free transfer-station trips
City of Sparks residential customers who are current with Waste Management can drop off one standard pickup load, about 3 cubic yards, four times a year at no extra cost. Bring a recent trash bill or ID that matches your service address. Both public transfer stations are across town in Reno, on East Commercial Row and on Mt. Anderson Street in Stead.
Extra bags in May and November
During WM's spring and fall cleanup months, Sparks households can set out six extra bags, boxes or bundles on their regular service day. Each has to be under 50 pounds and no bigger than 3 feet on a side. It's handy for bagged clutter. It won't take a sofa, a refrigerator or a pile of fence boards.
Warehouse and shop cleanouts
Sparks has a lot of warehouse, shop and light-industrial space. We clear pallets, racking, old inventory, office furniture and break-room appliances. Tell us your dock hours and how the truck gets in.
