Reno junk hauling, without the dump run
A truckload of junk rarely fits into a Reno weekend. Junk King Reno is a locally owned franchise with its yard on Vista Boulevard in Sparks, a short drive from anywhere in the city. We carry items out from wherever they sit, whether that's a third-floor apartment downtown, a basement in the Old Southwest or a backyard in the North Valleys.
You point, we load. The price is based on how much room your items take up in the truck, and you hear it before anything is loaded.

Local Know-How
Good to know before you haul in Reno
You may already have free dump trips
Waste Management residential customers in Reno who are current on their bill can take up to four pickup-truck loads a year, about 3 cubic yards each, to a transfer station at no extra cost. Bring a recent bill or ID that matches your service address. The stations are on East Commercial Row near downtown and on Mt. Anderson Street in Stead. If you have a truck, a free afternoon and a strong back, that is the cheapest way to move a small load. We're the option when you don't.
Move-out weeks fill up
With the university in town, late spring and August bring a wave of apartment and rental move-outs. If you manage rentals near campus or are clearing out at the end of a lease, call a few days ahead when you can.
Tight access is normal here
Older blocks around Midtown and the Old Southwest often mean alleys, detached garages, basements and stairs. Downtown condos mean elevators and loading zones. Tell us about access when you call or text and the crew will plan for it.
Local program details come from Waste Management and city or county materials and can change. Check your bill insert or call your hauler for the current rules.

Questions
Reno junk removal FAQ
Do you haul from apartments and upstairs units in Reno?
Yes. We carry items down stairs and through elevators. Let us know the floor, whether there's an elevator and where the truck can park.
How is the price worked out?
By volume: how much space your items take up in our truck. A full truck holds about 18 cubic yards. You get a free, no-obligation estimate on site, and nothing is loaded until you agree to the price.
How soon can you come?
Same-day and next-day appointments are often available. Call, text or book online and pick a two-hour arrival window. The crew calls about 15 minutes before they arrive.
I have a pickup. Should I just use my free WM dump trips?
If it's one pickup load and you can lift it, that's a fair option, and it's free for WM customers in good standing. People usually call us for loads bigger than a pickup, for heavy or awkward items, or when the job has to be finished by a certain day.
Can I just text a photo?
Yes. Text a photo of what needs to go to (775) 271-1969 and we'll text you back. The firm price is confirmed on site, before loading.
What can't you take?
Hazardous waste: paint, solvents, fuel, pesticides, asbestos and similar materials. For those, Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful's recycling guide lists local drop-off options.
